This past summer has definitely flown by. I must say…
My cousins in California came over for two weeks which was awesome. I had a great time with them, and I’m hoping they had a great time with me and my family.
Camp in Florida was great. I learned a lot… sorta. I still really need to work on my relationship with God. I don’t know what exactly it is, but He and I just aren’t that close anymore. It’s not that I don’t want it… It’s just I don’t feel that flame anymore. I don’t know. Maybe it’s Satan getting to me. Maybe it’s because I really just started to do everything over with, and it’s not really an overnight process. Maybe it’s my environment – I haven’t really been in a stable Christian environment in a while. Maybe it’s Maybelline. I don’t know. I’ve written more in my personal journal, though… Not that my life stories are all that interesting to type out here, but it’s more of a deep personal issue that I don’t want to share (yet… we can always learn from others) with 6 billion or just the 6 others that read my blog.
I’ve received 2 designing jobs which is great. It’s been keeping me busy, and they’ll be paying for my laptop… Which comes next weekend – yay tax free weekend!
I turned 18 this past Wednesday, the 23rd. I saw the Dark Knight in honour of it, too. Freakin awesome movie, I must say. I could definitely go see that movie again sometime soon. A friend of mine said he had a lot psychologically/morally to figure out after seeing it. I just wanted to open my presents, quite frankly! haha, I guess that’s the shallow materialistic side of me… But then again, who wants to ponder the meanings of the universe close to midnight?
I bought myself a birthday present… Yeah, haha, I’m pathetic. It’s alright, though – The Classic Crime’s new album, The Silver Cord plus a bonus t-shirt for pre-ordering it. It’s quite amazing! The album is so fantastic compared to their first one (much like The Dark Knight). The lyrics are stunning and the accompaniment is so creative and gorgeous. If you haven’t heard them… Go check them out. The Classic Crime The Classic Crime The Classic Crime The Classic Crime The Classic Crime They’re without a doubt one of my favourite bands and one of the bands that have really influenced me/changed my life.
Less than 5 weeks, and I’ll be headed to Indiana for college! Yay college! Boo extra expences, debt, and adulthood.
