Portfolio Issues

October 24th, 2007

I’m assembling my portfolio for Grace, and I’ve come to an ‘artist’s block’ concerning my last piece(s). I have four pieces of photography, four pieces of websites, and my last two or three are going to be a bridge of photography and computer graphics. I just need to figure something out and soon! Scholarships are on a first-come-first-serve basis, and… I need money. ColourLovers had an amazing article on the colour found in The Wizard of Oz, and I’m often browsing colour palettes for some type of inspiration. DesignMeltdown.com has also been of use–I love looking at websites to see how they’re created and designed. I just need to find something for myself.

Things in life are either filled with piano, schoolwork, site-work, and the constant temptation of shredding every piece of sheet music I have. Lovely, no?

I Remember These…

October 2nd, 2007

That made my day.
Especially knowing I did half the dances at camp… :P Good memories.

I’m trying to get my portfolio assembled for a scholarship, and I’m a bit taken aback at how little I do in the art field. I’ve limited myself to just computer graphics and photography, and I have no other mediums to submit for the scholarship. While I do want to pursue a graphic art career, I think I should have other mediums and experiences in other arts.
And no… It’s not at all overwhelming.
