Ode to My Narcotic
Josh Groban was on American Idol last night.
He sang ‘You Raise Me Up,’ and he had an African choir back him up. Mm, mm, mm. I could die happy now.
I was able to get a new battery for my iPod, Malachi, last weekend, and I’m beyond ecstatic.
It’s been nice to have Malachi resurrected especially since I had a long van ride with a bunch of kids last weekend. I’m hoping to download some new music pretty soon to get me psyched for the SAT next weekend.
Yes, I just said psyched.
While I’m not to thrilled over taking a timed test that has control over which scholarships I’m eligible for, if I go in with a better attitude, I’ll probably do a lot better.
Speaking of which… It’s college time!
It’s also time for Rachel to pull out whatever remaining hair she’s trying to grow back because of the over anxiousness college picking/scholarship filling/SAT testing creates.
Huzzah!
I’ve narrowed my choice down to two colleges: Grace Bible College in Indiana and the Word of Life Bible Institute in Florida. The WOL BI will be just one year (unless I go for two), and I’ll just study the Bible for one year. Grace college will be college-college. I’ll be a graphics design majour, rooming with my best friend whom I haven’t seen in close to four years and out in Indiana. My conflict is what do I want to do first?… Do I want to spend a year studying the Bible then go on to college, or go to college for a fears and come back?
I’ve talked it over with my parents, and it’s going to be a decision I ultimately have to make for myself. They don’t want to control it and find me unhappy X amounts of months later. I’ll also be talking to my pastor and a few Bible institute grads to see how they came to a decision.
Josh Groban sang on American Idol…

Ugh… timed tests :[ I took a diagnostic that says I’d be better at the ACT than the SAT.. you might wanna look into it, it’s 4 parts instead of two, all weighted 25% out of a score of 32 i think, and since math > me, it works out much better that math is only worth 1/4 of my score vs. 1/3. Anyways, the college situation sounds confusing. It’s a good thing you live in the US where you can do pretty much whatever you want college-wise, so even if you decide you don’t like one once you’ve gone there, it’s a lot easier to transfer/start over vs. educational systems in other countries. I’m sure whatever decision you make will suit you, and I wish you luck!

Hey! Great to hear that your ipod is running well! Just wondering, where did you get your ipod battery replacement from? I just recently got a new one for my ipod and got it from this place online. They had the mini ipod battery I was looking for. Did you get yours online or in a store?
