If Only I was a Pirate
Things were so much simpler in the 1700’s.
For example, you could just sail to Tortuga, drink sum rum, listen to violinists… If you got mad because someone shot your rum bottle, making it shatter before your eyes, you could just hit him till you felt all warm and fuzzy inside. That’s it.
Fast forward 300 years..
If you get mad because someone used all the hot cocoa mix without bothering to tell you and just left an empty box in the cabinent, you do nothing. Actually, you throw the box around, yell and scream; but all in all that’s about it.
Now, if you had to choose… Would you rather hit and kick someone or would you rather just yell?
Mmhmm. I thought so.

Well, to be honest (and I’m actually being honest when I say this)… I’d say neither answer from the 2 choices. The situation described doesn’t (for me anyway) call for any kind of aggression. It’s too trivial. I pick my battles carefully. As I get older, I seek less and less drama. One way for me to achieve it is to understand the issues that are truly worth getting riled up about. And it’s not about being passive aggressive neither. I’m trying to also practice compassion - even towards stupid people. Some stupid people need help and Christian forgiveness, LOL.

Hit. Hit, hit, hit. I would definitely prefer the 18th Century now. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
