I Need a Dr. Dorian and Turk
So I wound up getting an Agatha Christie book instead of Memoirs of a Geisha. :hopeful: Stupid me, I forgot to write down the author’s names for most of the books I wanted to look at, and I already spent a good half hour trying to find a Nancy Drew book. Barnes & noble apparently had to mess with my OCD-ness and move the whole Nancy Drew/Hardy boys section. I did have some nice time alone with me and my ipod mini, Malachi, a Java chip Frapp, and a couple design books, though.
I’ve recently become addicted to Scrubs. :inlove: I don’t know what it is about the show, but I really like it… Now, most of the jokes and some topics I think they can do without. It gets kinda raunchy at times, but it’s pretty funny. They did an episode last night on WGN playing on The Wizard of Oz.
I’ve come to driving portion of driver’s ed, and it’s been pretty cool.
The people I’m doing it with are awesome, and we’ve been able to relax and get to know each other and joke around which is only a lot good. :reallyblushing: The way our teacher had been talking to us, it sounded as if it would be life or death and we’d be yelled at all the time. I’m so thankful I don’t have that… at all. I’ll be able to get my permit next week, hopefully. Moment of the night, though, had to be when the guy sitting next to me sang “I blow kisses… muah,” from “Fergaicious” during a three-point turn.
With my new dosage of medicine (I’ve been taking more meds lately because of a recent flare up of my disorder), my face is starting to get rounder. It’s one of the side-effects, and it’s not really noticeable… To me, it’s like gaining 14 extra pounds.
I’m going to try and get a new haircut since… a. I really need a new one and b. the whole round face thing is just really depressing. The new meds have taken effect, and I am getting stronger; but it’s a slow thing. It’s like having the cold, and letting it drag for five months, basically.
Happy Tuesday, everyone.

Memoirs of a Geisha is a really good book.. and I mean like extremly good. It’s a shame you didnt get it.
I never did take Drivers Ed. I had to take this 4 hour class like a year after I got my license to replace it. Maybe you’ll pass the first driving test since your taking it though lol.

I’m glad you had fun with your driving lessons. When I had mine it was just me and the teacher in the car. He was an indian man and he would always make me drive to the coffee shop so he could buy a coffee and/or use the washroom haha. I was so glad when I was done with my lessons. But the worst thing was the actual driving test and I really hope I never have to go through another one of those in my life!
I’m sorry to hear about your medications. My friend went on some medications that also made her face rounder but I don’t think that ever changed. I don’t know what she had…

Hey! I got your name on Despair, but I have been here before and love this place! Java Frappacinos (s/p?) are awesome! That and Starbucks’s hot chocolate are my weakness. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your medication. I need to get my hair cut as well. It is starting to look shaggy on the ends.

Sometimes medication does stupid things to make you feel better but it’s better than the alternative, isn’t it?
Good luck with all!

Good luck getting your licence! Agatha Christie’s books are really interesting, I used to see them around my household when I was little. Be around design books is the coolest thing, I guess. I do that when I’m at the local bookstore, even if some are heavy, they are an inspiring view/read.
