Was It That Surprising?

November 2nd, 2006

If you haven’t noticed, I changed my smilies again. :P Both sets I’ve made: the pac-man ghost smilies and these oval ones will be available to download this weekend. I’ve got a visitor content page all set up and ready. Just needs a few minor tweaking here and there.

Last night was “Hallow Him” night at church, thealternative to regular Halloween. You’re supposed to dress up as a bIble character or as anything from the Bible. My brother went as a king; I went as Rachel. Apparently, some people didn’t really expect that, but I went as my super-alter ego, Rachel. Her story, though, has to be one of the most romantic ones in the Bible. I mean, Jacob, her boyfriend, loved her at first sight and worked 14 years just to have her. :couple: Seriously, you can’t get any more devoted than that.

I’m getting my haircut again. :D It’s such a mess right now… Almost like a thick mullet. Ugh, seriously, it’s that bad. I’m thinking of just getting four layers; I already have three, and their mainly at the bas of my neck, one right after the other. This time, my layers will be more distant from each other, and the very last one will be all short and spiky near the crown of my head. I’d have to do more work to my head everyday to keep up the appearance, but it’ll be worth it.

I love your new smilies! I’ll have to remember to come back and download them.

My church back home also does the alternative to Halloween, but I don’t remember what they call it.

Love the colors on your site. I’m not sure I understand the traditional purpose of “Hallow Him” though, because Halloween is about meeting the community (the WHOLE community) and having fun with them; it’s not a religious holiday at all, and loses some of its value when it becomes that. But if it was fun for you, that’s fine.

I love the new smilies, I always wanted to make some but I don’t have the talent or skills. :argh:

I actually hate it when people dress themselves up as “****” pirates and devils on Halloween. I love the thing you did in your church, which made the day totally different and meaningful!
