And so I walked past my brother’s room today and I heard the faint sounds of eiffel pop’s “Blue.” :blank: You remember that song, right? I’m blue, da ba dee da ba di da ba dee… Needless to say, I’m incredibly shocked to find my little eight year old brother singing it. As I was walking down the stairs, I started to reminisce about when that song was so popular you woke up singing it. What made the song so dang popular in 2000?… The catchy beat of course! I mean, who the heck can relate to “da ba dee da ba di da ba dee”? And if you can relate to that… Then you may send me an angry email, and I will apologize. But seriously…
“I was so da ba dee da ba di happy today.”
“And so the da ba dee person scratched up my truck today!”
“I felt so da ba dee da ba di after I found out I failed a test.”
“When Oaky my pet hampster died today, I felt like da ba dee.”
“In the midst of great turmoil, stress and repentence… The song of ‘Da ba dee da ba di’ came to mind.”
Right.

So the Word of Life kick-off was pretty much amazing like I thought it was going to be.
everybody got on my case, though, about how much bread I took during the dinner… I ate so much bread in France, and I just took it all back here to the states.
They even let me take two huge rolls of French bread home, so I’m pretty much a happy kid.
Saturday night, all the Reachout appliers went to the theatres for one last movie together, and we saw Invincible. It was such a great movie, too! I’m not a huge sports movies fan, but this was really good.
I had a pretty great time with everyone who went, too, even though it was only four total (including me).
I’m really exciting about this upcoming weekend, too.
Being Labour day weekend, we’re all going to the beach, and I know that’s going to be awesome. There are a few things I’m hoping will happen during the beach trip, but I know I’m not supposed to get my hopes up. :ashamed:

And so I obviously changed the layout to a Classic Crime one like I wanted.
How sweet is that? Anyway, something about it just doesn’t click with me… I’m not sure why, but it just feels like… eh. :blank:
Honestly, I haven’t done anything amazing-ly blog worthy since I last blogged… I woke up Monday morning around 10.5am which has never happened in the course of my existence (with the exceptioni of lock-ins or being sick), so that was, obviously, some new discovery. But aside from that, it’s been typical Rachel doing routine things.
Last night, though, was a special work-day at our church since the deadline for the upstairs to be finished is this Sunday, and there’s still x amount of work to be done. I feel like I really accomplished something, though, even though it was somewhat minute duties. Scraping floors, sweeping, mopping and moving the stages… Pretty much janitorial stuff in order for the rest of the work to be accomplished. :hopeful: I had a pretty fun time, though; seriously was something I needed.
Only 4 more days till the new Word of Life year! I’m seriously so excited about it seeing as how there will be a lot of new kids coming (aside from the sevies), and that we’ll be in the new room with new books and just the thought of a new year is exciting to me. :reallyblushing:
Yup… Rachel’s a dork.
(And if you don’t know what a dork is… then Ask Yahoo! covered it, and I summarized it below.)
Annnd a shameless plug!
